Loudbasstard - For the love of music

I've just been to Cebu for two days and I had problem on my cellphone signal in the hotel where I stayed.  Boyfie was worried sick when he couldn't reach my phone on that night until I checked out and went out of the hotel, I understand that he felt doubtful and angry with me because of what had happened.  I already did say sorry and he accepted it... halfheartedly... he has no choice though, hehehe!

On my way back to Manila, I saw the LOUDBASSTARD bamboo speaker in one of the stores inside Cebu Mactan International Airport.  I am not aware that the loudbasstard speakers are being made in Cebu. #proudpinoy.  I had no second thoughts about getting one for boyfie because I recall he said once that he really liked this speaker. I got the color green (red and blue are already sold out) for Php 1050 pesos only as a peace offering.

True enough, when boyfie picked me up from the airport I can feel he's different.  I can really tell from his hug and kiss... seems he didn't miss me much at all. #tatampo.  And I started talking and telling stories from Cebu up to when I fed him information about loudbasstard.  He was so surprise when I got the box from the paper bag.  The mood instantly changed thanks to this bamboo speaker.

The loudbasstard speakers are designed for iphones and samsung phones or to whichever phone that can fit to the hole.  And it comes into different cool colors too to match your genre.

The Loudbasstard™ bamboo amplifier enables you to share your music
through passive sound amplification.  The abundance of natural resources and
quality craftsmanship in Cebu were key to the design process of this product.
Each piece is organically hand-treated, hand-cut, hand-dyed and
hand-packaged in Cebu, Philippines

Recovery Food

This week has been a stressful week with lots of changes being made in the original plans for our wedding.  After the announcement, our relatives from the states and other parts of the world begged off and as if they reunited together that made us change our wedding date to Dec 31, 2013, the only time available was 6 to 8 PM, waahh!  so this has become the final date and time. I wanted an intimate wedding since the beginning and maybe with this timing, I will be able to achieve it as most on my guest list will not able to make it plus libre fireworks na.#stayingpositive...

With the change in date, everything will be adjusted, the reception is asking for additional 30K pesos and probably everything will ask for a raise, slash ang budget namin. Maybe it is also a blessing in disguise that we did not make any downpayment yet in the reception because we received negative comments about them about the hidden charges and some other things. So we need again to visit the highland this weekend.

So much for the wedding planning stresses, let me shift to a tummy friendly topic to recover.  Yes, the way to overcome our stresses is to find good food and we are grateful to our newly discovered place in BGC.  The name of the restaurant is literally Recovery Food. I like how they setup the restaurant because you can see how the cooks/chiefs prepare your food, the kitchen is kept very clean plus they wear something glass or plastic in their face to maybe block any form of saliva when they talk.  The serving crews are all with pleasing personalities, hunks and sexies.

I can't really tell from the menu what kind of food they are serving but it's like a mix of Chinese, Vietnamese, Pinoy, etc... They offer salads for starters, noodles, rice bowls, sandwiches and sweets for desserts.  Their price ranges from 100-300 pesos only.

I ordered Joe Pho, a rice noodle with fish and kani for 180 pesos, it's a pho without the mint leaf so I guess it is not an authentic Vietnamese Pho while boyfie ordered a Happy Beef Rice for 160 pesos, it tastes like Pares to the highest level, it is their best seller.  I got Ginataan Halo-halo for dessert for 135 pesos only, the serving is almost already a full meal for me, so maybe next time si Ginataan halo-halo na lang i-order ko, solve na agad ako.   For the drinks, you have the option to choose between calamansi, dalandan and iced tea, 99 pesos per bottle.

So yun, we are then recovered and we are already smiling with our big tummies, stresses already forgotten.

The Announcement Part 1

Boyfie's family got an overnight stay in Tagaytay Wingate Manor for the Father's Day.  We were able to book 2 family rooms for only 5400 Php (original value: 10800 Php) for their rainy season promo.  Capacity per family room is only 4 pax but there are 3 beds (1 queen size, 1 double, 1 single bed) which are good enough for 5 person but anything in excess of 4 needs to pay 1500 Php.  Free breakfast for 4 and free massage for 2.

I ordered the longanisa with scrambled egg, garlic rice, fresh orange juice and a fruit platter for breakfast.  I liked it much because it is a home-made longanisa, with some garlic in it and a glaze that is not too sweet.

After checking in yesterday and we had our rest, we went to the Sky eye in Taal Vista just to check out the place.  Entrance fee: 50 Php/head.  We didn't take the rides because the place was pretty packed and there's long queue everywhere. If you want to take the rides, you will need to buy tickets separately in each ride.

Afterwards, we went straight to Bag of Beans for dinner.  It was so funny that me and boyfie were both feeling unease and excited and everything else before we spilled the beans.  The way boyfie started the announcement made her sister almost cry, because she thought we will be announcing that I am pregnant.  Her eldest sister got married 2 years ago and they are hoping for a baby eversince.

It went so well and they asked for some more details, everyone have their different plans to lose weight and be ready for their outfits... They are all so excited.  His dad said, he was about suggest to us to get married soon, naiinip na din pala buti naunahan na namin sya. We got additional 300K Php from his dad. #SoThankfulAndHappy

Tonight, it will be my turn for my family. I know it will be the same reaction from them. :)

Egg Surprise!

2 weeks after our trip in SG, today was the only time I was able to visit my niece and nephew.  We resumed our play time schedule with the kids but we didn't went far because of the heavy rain and traffic.  After then, we went home and the kids were curious about the gifts that we gave them.

I bought just 2 boxes of chocolates, 1 for each of them without realizing that there are toys inside.  I didn't bother buying more chocolates or sweet because my sister doesn't want them to learn loving sweets like we did when we were kids.

Anyway, to cut the story short... We all shared the chocolates and i love seeing the excitement of the kids opening the capsules... If I knew that there are toys inside, I should have bought more for them (lesson learned: read the labels).  Then, they are asking me to buy again some of them, kung meron lang sana dito, why not? Hehehe!

Big Announcement!

This coming Father's day, me and boyfie decided to finally announce our decision to get marry on December... We will be setting up a casual dinner for everyone and I bet there will be no surprise expressions from them, only congratulations and quick hugs and kisses... I am actually imagining the reactions of our parents and I think it will be like this:

Back to School

Summer is over and school days are coming.  For my niece and nephew it will be on the 17th, so yesterday they had a shopping for their school supplies with their dad and look how excited they were.   They took the photos so their mum can see.

I am a little excited for Miggy because this is his first school year, he used to go with the yaya para ihatid-sundo si ate Yanis. Miggy even had the moments when he doesn't want to leave the classroom so he became a "sit-in" student for her ate's class for free. :)

But there's a little problem, little Miggy doesn't want the school uniform... Oh no! I bet there will be some drama every morning.  Good luck to his yaya. hehehe!

A day of Adventure in Universal Studios Singapore

After the hustles that I have been through on my day 1 plus the 1 week spent for work, it's time for me to unwind and de-stress.  Boyfie followed afterwards to visit his friends and of course see the attractions of Singapore.

Saturday, we had an early check-out from the Hotel and left our luggage in our friends house. We all went together to Sentosa, me and boyfie going to Universal Studios and them going to attend an event in their company's family day.  It was so convenient riding a bus in Singapore since it is not crowded and we are able to take a good seat. Fare: 1.30 SGD.

Upon reaching Vivo City, we took the train going to Sentosa for only 4 SGD.  There were a lot of people taking the train going to Sentosa so we waited for the second train, waiting time is only 5 mins.

and after 10 minutes, we finally reached Sentosa.

Our original itenerary was to visit Universal Studios in the morning and Sea Aquaria in the afternoon. But we're not able to visit Sea Aquaria because there was 2 hours waiting time aside from long queue in the ticket booth.

So let me just share to you our day of adventure in Universal Studios.  We availed an all day pass for 48 SGD/pax and then the fun begun... Wohoo!

Of course the first thing that caught my eye was betty boop but decided to go for the rides first.

The first that we tried was the Lights Camera Action! by Steven Speilberg, it is a sound stage fitted with effects where most of our movies are being shot, it is as if we are really feeling the hurricane and the explosions are really like real, all we can say was woah! with our big eyes open fascinated will all the effects.  No camera allowed so i have no pictures to share.

Next, Revenge of the Mummy.  It is a rollercoaster ride inside a dark complex with lots of bumps, reverse and turn and feels like dropping in a few storey building while going through the story of the Mummy. With the thought of a rollercoaster ride, boyfie didn't want to try it so he let me try it alone.  I was excited going solo in a dark ride, it was just 4 minutes and it was a smooth ride for me.  I thought boyfie can handle it because it only feels like a baby ride for me so I insisted for him to try it. We tried it together, so it was a second ride for me. Boyfie was white as ghost after the ride and his sweat was really cold, he was so dizzy and I regret convincing him to try it.

We had almost an hour rest and I know we will no longer enjoy the rest of the day.  But when he recovered, we resumed going around the park, but no more rides... Parang photo ops na lang.

Madagascar...

Far far away... We watched the 4D movie of Shrek inside the castle.  #relaxmode.

Waterworld... Awesome!

the Monster Rock... A musical show.

And on the afternoon, I wanted to try the transformer ride, we asked what the ride was all about and the crew said it was just a 4D ride.  Boyfie wanted to try it and I asked him several times if he is really sure about it.  On the queue, I am a bit worried for boyfie because I know it is still a ride and he might be dizzy again.  As expected it is a rough ride, but it was really really cool.  I've been checking boyfie once and a while just to make sure.  After the ride he said he really liked the ride though he felt slightly dizzy, ok na din kesa sa the mummy.

We didn't want to wait for the parade of stars at 5PM so we decided to check out the Sea Aquaria, but to no avail... And the heavy rain started to pour. We had no choice but to stay in some of the shops outside the park, and it became another photo ops for me.

Hope you enjoyed our adventure!

Papa P

Photosource

Wonder why I have to make a post for Papa P?  We'll you all know for a fact that Piolo Pascual is one of the most handsome faces in the showbiz industry and we can't really deny girls are going crazy when they saw him in person, "makalaglag panty" as what they call him, gwapo nga talaga.

But can you believe that I have been receiving comments that I have a resemblance to Papa P? The first time someone told me that I look like the girl version of him, I just really can't believe it and just laugh about it.  But out of curiosity, I tried looking at my pictures and observed that I have nothing similar to him in any way.  I even asked my mom, my siblings and boyfie if I really look like him but they said NO, and they just tease me about it.

Recently, I received the same comment from one of the vendors in the souvenir shop in Lucky Mall Plaza in Singapore.  I thought she was following me all around the shop to assist me on my shopping but to my surprise, she was looking and observing me and when she couldn't hold herself, she finally asked me.

Tindera:  Kabayan, kamag-anak mo ba si Piolo Pascual?
Me:  (smiling) pano nyo naman nasabi?
Tindera:  Kamukha mo kasi, tsaka yung mata mo, parehong pareho sa kanya.
 Me: Hindi po ate eh.
(Boyfie was laughing on the side)

So that's it!  it must be my eyes.....  I therefore conclude that my brown eyes are maybe similar to Papa P's... maybe... but I think it still depends on the light reflection.  It may not appear the same all the time but there are time that my eyes are really light brown in color and maybe those are the times that they'll say I look like Papa P.  Wag nyo ako masyadong titigan, baka matunaw kayo.. hahaha!
